Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.


Author Guidelines

The journal encourages research groups from all over the world to send in their contributions on computational aspects of Computer Vision and Image Analysis and applications.

Authors may submit:

  • ARTICLE: A regular contribution of 8-12 pages (recommended) revised by the Associate Editors and reviewers, to be accepted in a regular issue of the journal.

Article submission

Submission of an article and other supplementary files is made by following the steps of the submission process of the ELCVIA Web site. The authors must give the following information:

1) Registration of the main author.

2) Article information: Title, Abstract, other Authors and their E-mails, Predefined Keywords (at least one general and one specific keyword. Other additional keywords can be included) and Issue Type (regular or one of the specials).

3) The article file must be a PDF format.

4) We encourage to the authors to send additional files (video, image of .exe) in standard formats (GIF, JPEG, AVI, MPEG) or in compressed (.ZIP) format to improve the discussion of the article.

When an article is accepted, ELCVIA board will send to the authors the following information to make the final camera-ready version:

- Volume, number, initial and final pages, year.
- Name of the Associate Editor of the article.
- Received, revision (if it is necessary) and accepted dates.

This final camera-ready version in PDF (recommended), PostScript or Word format will be also sent to the ELCVIA.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  2. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
